Bracken bruising
M & J Plumb provide a bracken bruising service.
Bracken Bruising can considerably reduce bracken density, when carried out over three seasons. Bruising makes the bracken ‘bleed’, which results in the rhizomes becoming weak. Bracken bruising is usually carries out in June/ July, when the stalks are strong enough, when they will bend not ‘snap’. A repeat process can be repeated in July/ August and then continued in year two and three.
